Gil Fuqua, Jr., MBA, CPA, CGMA
President and Principal
Gil Fuqua has over 35 years of investor relations experience and has worked with clients in a wide range of industries ranging from biotech to banks. He has assisted companies in formulating a cost-effective and sustainable investor relations program that utilizes the strengths of the management team while leveraging the expertise of Corporate Communications to support the program. He has coached senior managers with their investor presentations, including one-on-one meetings with security analysts and formal presentations to an auditorium full of shareholders. His wide experience has proven valuable to senior managers of client companies as they evaluate issues from crisis communications to explaining complex transactions to investors.
He holds a BA degree in economics and English from Vanderbilt University. He also received his MBA degree from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt. He is well versed in accounting trends and issues affecting public companies and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant. He also holds the designation as a Certified Global Management Accountant.
Prior to joining Corporate Communications in 1982, Gil was employed by a Nashville bank that was subsequently acquired by Bank of America. During his tenure at the bank, he was in charge of their national investor relations program while serving as assistant to the treasurer. His last position with the bank was as vice president in the trust and investment division.
Gil is active in the Nashville community and has served as Chairman of the local Habitat affiliate, a Board member on the Boy Scout Council, and other civic and professional organizations. In his spare time, he enjoys his hobbies of woodworking and antique cars.
